Defender’s Quest looks like an independent game, but don’t let that be the reason you pass it by. Easy for td veterans but refreshing mix of rpg and td. I backed Double Fine Adventure and Awesomenauts: You can pause everything — while miraculously still being able to place units and upgrade them — or pump the speed all the way up to 4x. This makes the entire game a simple wash-and-repeat repetition of “drop towers and hit x4 to finish faster, then endure the next story sequence”.

Defender’s Quest is a triumphant blending of RPG and tower defense and should provide plenty of entertainment for fans of both genres. Surprisingly, the level-to-level difficulty is quite balanced despite all of these extra moving parts.
I winced quesr just trying to follow the storyline itself, and actually gave up after the 4th or 5th sequence involving irrelevant nonsense and bad jokes unrelated to the game or the plot.

They act like you’d expect — there’s a certain attack range, you can spend dropped energy to upgrade them, etc.
